League Changes for the 2020 Little League Season

The Little League Board of Directors would like to share some changes for the 2020 season.

Changes for 2020 are as follows:

  • *There will be a final registration deadline of April 1st. We will not have late registration available this year.  Last year there were a significant amount of late registrations after rosters and schedules were made causing team sizes to be too big.*
  • We will be switching our sports management system from SportsEngine to Sports Connect. Sports Connect is the official league technology provider of Little League making it easier for us to comply with the rules and regulations.
    • We will have a new website design but the URL will remain the same.
    • You will need to create a new username and password
  • Volunteer fee of $20 per player
    • The fee will be reimbursed to you when you complete your volunteer hours.
  • T-Ball will now be open to 4 & 5 year old’s. The T-Ball season will start June 1st and the season will run until the end of July
  • We will be switching from Pitching Machine to Coaches Pitch.  6 year old’s will play coach pitch this year instead of T-Ball. The ages for coach pitch will be 6 and 7 year old’s. Coaches Pitch will start June 1st and the season will run until the end of July.
  • 8 year old’s will now play kid pitch in the Minor’s Division.  The Minor’s Division will be for 8 & 9 year old’s.
  • 10 year old’s will now play in the Major Division. The Major Division will now be for ages 10, 11 and 12 year old’s.  Also new for this division is a skills assessment day. The assessment will be held in earlier April for each age. The assessment is necessary this year because player’s will stay on the same team they are drafted for following year(s) eligible until they move on from Hodag Little League. The assessment will allow us to draft teams evenly. After this year only incoming 10 year old’s will be required to attend a skills assessment day.
  • The Minors and Majors start dates will remain the same. They will start at the end of April or the 1st week in May and the season will run until the end of June. Championships for these divisions will be played the last week of the season.
